Amelia’s Newborn Photos | The Johnson Family| A Wilmington, OH Family Photo Session

Have you seen the movie Blazing Saddles? I’ll admit that I have only seen bits and pieces of it, but I am aware of a scene where I believe they are at a council meeting and everyone they name has the last name of Johnson. The scene is pretty funny and if you worked at the Wilmington (OH) Police Department around 2016-2017 you could pretty easily relate to it. Two dispatchers had the last name of Johnson (I was one) and the lovely couple in these photos are also Johnson’s and are both police officers. Except for these two, who are obviously related by marriage, none of the Johnson’s at WPD were related. The public would call and ask for “Officer Johnson” and it became standard for the dispatcher to ask, “Male or Female?”

Back in the fall Whitney got a hold of me and asked if I would be able to come and take photos when their second little girl decided to make her way into the world. I of course said “Yes”. I hadn’t seen too much of them since moving to Kentucky, so I was excited to visit with them and see those adorable babies. Their two year old, Charlotte, is hilarious and I had done a couple sessions of her in the past, including her newborn photos. We were hoping to do some photos of newborn Amelia Claire similar to her big sisters newborn photos. We managed to pull it off and Amelia was a dream through the entire session!!
